Chunk-prone Eastern Michigan defense squares off vs. explosive, aggressive Toledo offense
The Eagles have been very much improved on defense in 2026, but the one area EMU particularly has struggled is where Toledo thrives.
Of 138 FBS teams, Eastern Michigan ranks No. 135 in plays of 10-plus yards allowed.
All told, EMU has allowed 92 such plays, where an opponent has taken a first downs worth of yardage on a single snap. Only Charlotte, Stanford and Ball State are doing worse in that regard.
