Entering MAC play after ugly loss, WMU sets focus inward: ‘Our focus is going 1-0’

Kalamazoo — Feeling like Western Michigan had prior to a lopsided loss started to listen some outside noise about upside and possibility, head coach Lance Taylor is pushing for a week where his team focuses on itself. 

And while he knows that sounds like coach speak — and acknowledged as much from the lectern on Monday — Taylor wasn’t just offering lip service, either. He wants his team to focus on their work, their plans, their development and executing said plan to beat Buffalo on Saturday. Nothing else should matter.
