S Daeh McCullough set to start, Western Michigan's depth on defense gets test vs. Boise State

Kalamazoo — Coming out of halftime vs. Rice, Western Michigan safety Daeh McCullough’s number finally got called for some serious action. 

With fellow safety Micah Davis banged up, McCullough played out the balance of the second half as the starter opposite Joey Pope at safety. Then he co-led the Broncos with seven total tackles. 

“Just being physical, attacking the ball, just doing my one-eleventh, I'm doing what I'm supposed to do, and just listening to coach and everything he's got planned for us, really,” McCullough said this week, explaining how he fits and played well within WMU’s defense. “Just falling into place — everything's just falling into place, really.”
