Eastern Michigan not complaining, but toll of schedule slog showing, sets up sparse November
The Eagles are the only team to play on Week 0 and just now be getting a week off — which gets crimped by MACtion moving the game prep up.

With Week 8 concluded, there is one team in college football that has played nine games: Eastern Michigan.
And while the Eagles, very technically, are “idle” this week, with no game on the Week 9 docket, the forward shift to the game prep timeline to account for MACtion starting in the first week of November means this week with no game isn’t a true bye; practice for Central Michigan starts Wednesday, and prep has likely already been underway amongst coaches.
Head coach Chris Creighton won’t outwardly call it out, but Eastern Michigan’s (4-5, 3-2 MAC) been hemmed in by a schedule that doesn’t offer the Eagles a full week off from game prep until Week 11. It’s the only team that played in Week 0 and hasn’t had a week off yet.
