Western Michigan's goal line stand a lesson on consistent, focused mindset Broncos seek

Taylor has emphasized the need for WMU to be focused and present in the play, and there isn't a better example of that than the Broncos standing tall for four plays in a row to win the game.

Kalamazoo — During his weekly press availability, Lance Taylor explained how Western Michigan’s goal line stand at the end of a win vs. Buffalo, sealing a victory in the final seconds, reflected some of the best of the one-play mindset the Broncos hope to play with.

In stopping four straight plays with all but 12 feet between a win and a loss, Western Michigan’s defense had to take it play-by-play — and did, denying the Bulls four plays in a row from the four yard line in the final seconds to seal a 20-17 win to open MAC play.

“When you look at those four plays, we had to be locked in on each play,” Taylor said.
